It was a sad one for a family of 6 who live in Azikoro area in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Read more after the cut.
A woman and her four children plus a maid have been reported dead as a result of the effect from generator fumes. They slept in their room last night with their generator on and could not wake up this morning, the generator was found inside their resident.
The husband of the woman who works with GTB i Portharcourt explained that as usual, when he got to work this morning, he decided to call his wife to know how they were fairing only for the phone to continue ringing without anyone picking. He also tried calling his kids but to no avail. At this point he decide to called neighbours to help him check on his family only to find out they were all dead.
The woman, her 4 kids and her maid were rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Yenagoa where 3 of the children were confirmed dead and their mum, the maid and one of the sons have but put on external Oxygen support.
I pray God keeps them alive. What a tragedy?
